Delete your account
Two ways to delete your account
Option 1 — From inside the app (recommended)
- Open the Drive&Check app on your phone.
- Sign in if you aren't already.
- Tap the Account tab at the bottom right.
- Scroll down and tap Settings → Delete account.
- Read the warning, enter your current password to confirm, then tap Delete account.
- You'll be signed out and your account + data will be removed within seconds.
Option 2 — By email (for users who've uninstalled the app)
If you no longer have the app installed, email contact@kybrium.com from the email address you registered with. Please include:
- The subject line "Delete my account"
- The email address of the account you want deleted (just so we're sure we have the right one)
We will verify the request by replying to the same email address you wrote from (this is to stop someone deleting your account without your permission), and process the deletion within 7 working days of your reply.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your account profile (email, hashed password, display name)
- All vehicles, vehicle data, MOT history, tax records you added
- All fill-up records, charging sessions, and service records you logged
- All receipt photos you uploaded
- All price alerts, saved places, and saved routes
- All reviews you submitted (the rating is removed; the average rating shown for the affected station/charger is recalculated)
- Any fleet memberships you held (you're removed from your fleet; the fleet itself is not deleted unless you owned it — see the next section)
- Active sessions and refresh tokens
- Push notification tokens
What is kept (and why)
- Anonymised aggregate analytics — usage events that are stripped of any identifier linking back to you. These do not contain personal data and are kept for product improvement.
- Business-archive records (only if you opted in) — Drive&Check offers an optional business archive in Settings. If you turned it on and flagged some of your fill-ups, charging sessions, or service records as "business", we keep those flagged records for 6 years after account deletion so they remain available for your own HMRC self-assessment. You can switch the archive off at any time, which deletes the archived records immediately. If you never turned the archive on, all your records are deleted with the rest of your account. HMRC does not require us to keep these records for you — the obligation is on you as the taxpayer.
- Crash and error reports — any error reports generated while you used the app are kept for 90 days, then deleted. These have no precise location or vehicle registration information (those are scrubbed before they leave your device).
Special cases
If you own a fleet
You cannot delete your account while you are the owner of an active fleet subscription — this would orphan your drivers. Before deleting, you must either:
- Cancel the fleet subscription from inside the app (Fleet → Plan → Cancel), or
- Transfer ownership to another admin (Fleet → Members → Promote → Transfer ownership).
Once the fleet is cancelled or transferred, you can proceed with account deletion as above.
If you have an active subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active subscription you bought through Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel the subscription from inside the respective store first:
- iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Drive&Check → Cancel.
- Android: Play Store app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Drive&Check → Cancel.
